In the 1960s, the German painter Günther Fruhtrunk asked for mottlers made from the ear hair of a cow, for his work. Today, synthetic fibres in particular are a major part of the solution to special requests from wholesalers and customers. This brush has been tried and tested for use with thick consistency paints, among others, as well as for watercolours, where its absorbency is absolutely superb.
