Released in 2005, the album Once Around The Sun is the outcome of Joby Talbot 's residency with Classic FM. During his year in residence, Talbot composed a new piece of music each month, scored for up to five instruments. The resulting twelve compositions were then premiered on Classic FM and were recorded on CD. March - Seed Capsule was the third piece to be composed and is scored here for solo Piano.

On June 13, 2010 the capsule from the Hayabusa satellite successfully returned to earth after enduring a grueling six billion kilometer, seven year journey to retrieve samples from the Hayabusa meteor. Composer Satoshi Yagisawa was asked to write a piece to commemorate this momentous occasion. Fanfare - HAYABUSA’s premiere was so successful that the piece was performed a second time in response to the audience’s standing ovation. Out of this World!

Mordechai Gebirtig is the acknowledged poet-composer of Polish Jewry. Among the music treasures of every nation can be found melodies which during the lifetime of their composer were considered to be folk songs. While exemplifying the soul of the composer, they may also mirror the feelings and travails on an entire people. Such songs as: Reyzele · Hulyet Kinderlekh · Kinder Yorn · Moyshele Mayn Fraynd · S'brent and others in this book capture the spirit and pathos of Jewish life in pre-war Poland. This is not just another book of Irish session tunes. It represents the relatively unknown repertoire of a single Irish traditional musician, Packie Manus Byrne of Donegal. There has been considerable interest in the music of Donegal over the past 10 years or so, especially with the rise of groups such as Altan. Packie Manus Byrne is a familiar name to traditional-music lovers in Ireland and the UK, where he enjoyed a successful career as a folk performer for more than 20 years. Almost all these tunes were being played in Packie's home area between 1925 and 1935; the collection is thus something of a "time capsule" with a unity of origin and style that sets it apart from other collections. The 85 genuine old traditional tunes are being made public for the first time. This unique collection, with all the background information and stories, gives the reader a real sense of the community out of which the music came and the characters who played it.
