The Dark Crystal Staty 1/6 Garthim 34 cm
Som stora fans av Jim Hensons The Dark Crystal (1982) är Weta Workshop glada över att dyka in i Thras värld och skapa förstklassiga samlarföremål för denna ikoniska film. Skeksisarna har förblivit åtskilda från sina andra halvor, urRu, alltför länge; endast genom att reparera Sanningens Kristall kan balansen återställas till Thras värld. Det faller på gelflingarna Jen och Kira, de sista i sitt slag, att uppfylla den gamla profetian.
Krigsredskap, utan tanke eller samvete; en själlös armé besjälad med mystiska medel, hängiven och för alltid kedjad till sina herrars vilja; Garthim var fruktansvärda korruptioner konstruerade av Skeksis för att utföra deras brutala korståg mot Gelfling.
Hulking, krabba-liknande fotsoldater, Garthim tjänade sina herrar utan tvekan. Utskickade från kristallens slott för att upprätthålla Skeksis kampanj för brutalitet och folkmord, reste Garthim över Thra och spred skräck vart de än gick. Inom det mörklagda slottets skuggade gångar och salar stod de tysta och orörliga; vaktposter på oupphörlig vakt, eller instängda i ljuslösa gropar, i väntan på order från sina drakoniska överherrar.
Med en röra av svarta ben, ett polerat jetliknande ryggsköld och gigantiska destruktiva klor ansågs Garthim vara oövervinnerlig. Mäktigare än någon av Thras varelser slog de sig igenom nästan vilken barriär som helst, vare sig det var Podling-hem eller väggarna i Aughras observatorium. Få, om några varelser, var deras jämlika, förutom de snabblemmade Landstriderna, vars långa ben kunde tränga igenom Garthims skal och vars mod kunde övervinna skräcken för deras genomträngande lila ögon.
De tre cirkulära baserna i olika storlek i vårt sortiment av mörka kristaller i skala 1:6 representerar de tre solarna på Thras himlar; den döende solen, rosensolen och den stora solen. Bekant ikonografi från golvet i Kristallkammaren visas runt utsidan. Spionera på symbolerna för urSkek, som sedan har använts som tecken på osämja och Skeksis aggression.

As huge fans of Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal (1982), Weta Workshop is excited to dive into the world of Thra and create premium collectibles for this iconic film. The Skeksis have remained separated from their other halves, the urRu, for too long; only by repairing the Crystal of Truth can balance be restored to the world of Thra. It falls to the Gelflings Jen and Kira, the last of their kind, to fulfil the ancient prophecy.
Tools of war, devoid of thought or conscience; a soulless army animated by arcane means, devoted and forever chained to the will of their masters; the Garthim were appalling corruptions engineered by the Skeksis to carry out their brutal crusade against the Gelfling.
Hulking, crab-like foot soldiers, the Garthim served their masters without question. Dispatched from the Castle of the Crystal to enforce the Skeksis' campaign of brutality and genocide, the Garthim roved across Thra spreading terror wherever they went. Within the shadowed passages and halls of the darkened castle they stood silent and unmoving; sentinels on ceaseless watch, or cloistered in lightless pits, awaiting the orders of their draconic overlords.
With a mess of black legs, a polished jet-like carapace, and giant destructive claws, the Garthim were believed to be invincible. Mightier than any of Thra's creatures, they smashed their way through almost any barrier, be it Podling homes or the walls of Aughra's observatory. Few, if any beings, were their equal, save for the swift-limbed Landstriders, whose long legs could pierce Garthim shells and whose courage could overcome the terror of their piercing purple eyes.
The three different sized circular bases across our 1:6 scale Dark Crystal range represent the Three Suns in the skies of Thra; the dying sun, rose sun, and great sun. Familiar iconography from the floor of the Crystal Chamber is featured around the outside. Spy the symbols of the urSkek, which have since been appropriated as signs of discord and Skeksis aggression.
