Note that due to the thicker folding board provided for this version of the game, the box lid will not close fully flush and will rise by 3 mm. The game box can still be stored vertically. Each of the types of tile and token have their own slot in the trays giving easy access to all players. As mentioned above, all of the trays can be used during setup and game play. When packing the box first place the main game board on top of the insert trays, taking care to have the wheel face up. Next place the player boards face down on top of the board with the dials arranged around the wheel on the main board as shown. Next place the end pieces from the hunger wall and cathedral next to the player boards, and then the four action boards on top. Lastly add the rule book and reference sheets. Next place the four stable boards on top in the recess provided for them. Then place the remaining larger boards on top of the trays, and lastly add the rule book as shown. Once fully loaded the box is filled to the top, allowing for vertical storage.

The insert is arranged in up to three layers. Note the dice cup is placed in between the two filler trays at one end of the box, and these trays also hold the first player and mammoth markers. The design works equally well with the Stone Age: Anniversary® edition, see bottom of page for details.All component types are split by type organising all the game components. There is space for the cards to be sleeved. As mentioned above many of the trays can be used during the game to organise the components and make access by all players easy. When packing the box first place the rule books on top of the trays. This is followed by the boards, stacked as shown. Once fully loaded the box is filled to the top, allowing for vertical storage.As mentioned above, the insert works equally well with the Stone Age: Anniversary® edition of the game. To get the insert to fit well you will still need Stone Age: The Expansion® to fill the box to the top with the extra boards.This product consists of a flat-pack of 5 Evacore sheets.
