Pachyphytum 'Captain Jessop' - Purple Succulent

This is cross between Pachyphytum oviferum and Pachyphytum viride, created by Captain Jessop. This plant has purple leaves that become quite deep in colour with good light. The leaves could be 8-10cm long and are almond-shaped forming a rosette patter. The medium heads offset slowly to form a clump; in 5 years the plant might reach 30cm across. Flowers are cream with red centers and come up on short stems. Grown in a 9 cm pot your plant will be shipped bare rooted in the summer months, ready for potting up into your own gritty compost and free draining pots. In winter we will ship in pots to ensure the minimal root disturbance in these colder dormant months. A dark purple/chocolate coloured hybrid Echeveria. Black Prince forms tight rosettes of thick leaves to about 15cm across before it freely offsets. The flowers are a bright red colour and stems often branch to give a full display of small bells at the end of summer. Echeveria Pulvinata - Delicate Fury Frosting

This Echeveria is has a wonderful covering of fine hairs that gives it a shiny frosty appearance, almost like it is lit up by magic. The flowers appear in early spring and are bright orange/red and feature at the ends of a medium length flower spike. The plant offsets slowly to form a loose bush shape and loloks spectacular in spring when all is orange flowers are out. Like most Echeverias the flowers are long lasting and certainly one our first Echeverias to flower and brighten the collection.
