Liriope Muscari Variegata (Variegated Lilyturf)

Liriope Muscari Variegata (Variegated Lilyturf)

Similar to the Big Blue Lilyturf, but with leaves that are bright green and feature cream-coloured stripes. The Variegated Lilyturf has a more fun and informal appearance than its ‘sensible’ and ‘sophisticated’ cousin. The cream-coloured streaks which run the length of its leaves come in a variety of thicknesses, which gives each one of its leaves a unique appearance. The flowers of Variegated Lilyturf are purple in colour and may remind you of a Hyacinth’s bloom. Ornamental Grasses are chosen for their decorative qualities and whether used indoors or outdoors, they can bring a striking diversity to your garden. From round shrubs to tall walls of quivering spikes, ornamental grasses bring new shapes and textures that will contrast against the twisted roots of trees and the blooms of traditional plants and flowers. They are also becoming increasingly popular due to their hardiness against the British weather and their ability to hold their colour through autumn and winter. Scots Pine 'Martham' (Pinus Sylvestris 'Martham') - Half Standard

Imperata Cylindrica 'Red Baron' (Japanese Blood Grass)

Imperata Cylindrica 'Red Baron' (Japanese Blood Grass)

A visually striking grass – the blood red tips of its green leaves become brighter as summertime rolls on. The Red Baron is a dramatic ornamental grass. Although slow-growing and with a relatively low maximum height of 60cm, what it lacks in size, it makes up for in vibrant visuals. A popular choice for rock gardens and patio containers, some people also like to take cuttings of its red-tipped leaves for use in creating indoor flower arrangements. It can produce feathery flowers, but this is rare in the UK.
