Cobra Air-X Golf Driver The Cobra Air-X Golf Driver is the lightest driver construction that Cobra has ever created, with a weight of only 277g, so golfers can now generate even faster swing speeds for maximum distance on their drives.  The lighter driver, which is a staggering 50g lighter than the LTDx MAX driver, has been achieved by using premium lightweight carbon materials in areas such as the crown of the golf club to create a lighter yet still incredibly strong clubhead. This weight reduction allows golfers to experience a sensation of much faster speeds through the air when swinging which will lead to even faster ball speeds off of the tee.  Cobra engineers have been able to reduce the weight in the clubhead by 2 grams while being able to maintain a high MOI of 5,000 for maximum stability and forgiveness. This golf club is perfect for golfers who may struggle to generate higher swing speeds, but still want to be able to hit the golf ball with a fluid smooth stroke.  When designing this Cobra driver the engineers charged with making this club created a faster face to be used which allows players to drive the ball as far as possible, even on shots that don’t make contact with the centre of the face.  The face that has been used benefits from a variable thickness design, this means that the area that offers the highest ball speed has been expanded so that players can achieve high ball speeds even on off centre shots.   Thanks to the weight that has been saved when designing the clubhead, the Air-X driver also features weighting in the heel of the club.
