Apollo Orbis I.S. A1R Heat Detector with Flashing LED ORB-HT-51146-APO

Apollo Orbis I.S. A1R Heat Detector with Flashing LED ORB-HT-51146-APOThe Orbis IS Heat Detector monitors temperature by using a single thermistor network which provides a voltage output proportional to the external air temperature. The Orbis IS range incorporates seven heat detector classes to suit a wide range of operating conditions.OperationOrbis I.S. heat detectors have an open-web casing which allows air to flow freely across a thermistor which measures the air temperature every 2 seconds. A microprocessor stores the temperature and compares them with per-set values to determine whether a fixed upper limit - the alarm limit - has been reached. In the case of rate-of-rise detectors the microprocessor uses algorithms to determine how fast the temperature is increasing.Static heat detectors respond only when a fixed temperature has been reached. Rate-of-rise detectors have a fixed upper limit but they also measure the rate of increase in temperature. A fire might thus be detected at an earlier stage then with a static detector so that a rate-of-rise detector is to be preferred to a static heat detector unless sharp increases of heat are part of the normal environment in the area protected by the heat detector.Key FeaturesCan be used for applications where smoke detectors are unsuitableIdeal for environments that are dirty or smoky under normal conditionsReduced incidences of false alarmsIncreased reliability of detection

Apollo XP95 Beacon Base with Isolator - 45681-333APO

Apollo XP95 Beacon Base with Isolator - 45681-333APO

Apollo XP95 Beacon Base with Isolator - 45681-333APOThe Visual Indicator Base is a loop-powered visual indicator combined with a standard Intelligent Mounting Base. It is used to signal a fire alarm in enclosed areas. The visual indicator base can be used with either a detector fitted or with a cap as a stand-alone alarm device. The base is loop powered so needs no external power supply. It operates at 1728V DC and is polarity-sensitive.Device AddressingThe Base responds to its own individual address set with a DIL switch. It also responds to a group address set by means of a 4-segment DIL switch and to a synchronisation address which is embedded in the unit. Addresses 1 to 111 are used exclusively for individual addresses addresses 112 to 126 are used for group addressing while the synchronisation address to which all units respond is 0. Any Beacon Base on a loop may be freely assigned to a group. The address for any group must be chosen from the range 112126.Addresses 112126 may be used as individual addresses but only if the 4-segment DIL switch is not used ie group addressing is disabled. If the 4-segment DIL switch were set to any number other than the default 127 a pre-set analogue value of 4 would be transmitted to indicate a fault. The Base is normally polled by its individual address. It responds as described below. It is recommended that the synchronisation address 0 be sent by the control panel at regular intervals to align the internal clock of all sounders. The result is that the beacons are synchronised with each other when activated.Key FeaturesVisual indicator flash rate of once per secondSynchronisation of visual indicator flashIndividual and group addressingUnique visual indicator self-testLoop-poweredBuilt-in Isolator

Apollo Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector SA7100-100APO

Apollo Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector SA7100-100APO

Apollo Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector SA7100-100APOThe Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector combines a transmitterreceiver in the same detector head with an automatic alignment motor. This combination with integrated addressability allows for quick and simple installation. The Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector automatically compensates for environmental effects on the beam signal keeping the unit in the best possible working order. This is achieved through the combination of software automatic gain control and motorised realignment of the beam.OperationThe Intelligent Auto-Aligning Beam Detector is a compact detector for detecting smoke in large open areas such as warehouses theatres churches and sports centres. It comprises a ground level loop-powered controller a detector head with an operating range of 8m-50m and a single prism. The operating range of each detector head can be increased up to 100m by using the Extension Kit which comprises of three additional prisms. An additional detector head can be connected to the controller. Each head has a loop address. It also has a built in 20T negative bi-directional short circuit isolator and it is compatible with control panels using CoreProtocol Discovery and XP95 protocol. A built-in laser provides rapid initial alignment and thereafter the detector head will continuously automatically align and compensate for any building movement. The status of each detector can be monitored through the controller which is sited at ground level. The detector head operates both as a transmitter and a receiver. A well-defined IR beam is projected to a prism mounted on the opposite wall which is reflected back to the receiver. In the event of smoke partially obscuring the light an imbalance between the transmitted and received light will occur. The detector will then transmit an alarm value to the control panel. The detector is factory set to a beam obscuration of 35 which is the best setting for most factories and warehouses. The setting can be changed to 25 for offices and clean areas such as theatres or to 50 for hostile areas such as mills or foundries. The detector reports a pre-alarm analogue value 48 at approximately 75 of the alarm threshold. The detector compensates automatically for gradual contamination of the lenses in order to avoid false alarms. The detector is non-latching and resets 30 seconds after an alarm event ceases and in 3 seconds after the removal of a fault.Key FeaturesLoop Powered and compatible with XP95 Discovery and CoreProtocolIncorporates a bi directional short-circuit isolatorAutomatic drift compensationAutomatic resetGround level ControllerAutomatic alignment compensation for building movementLaser assisted alignment for quick installationAllows for 2 detector heads per controllerUp to 100m rangePre-alarm thresholdEN 54-12 and EN 54-17 certified
