Apollo Xpander Diversity Loop Interface Unit - XPA-IN-14050-APO

Please note The XPA-IN-14050-APO does not support CoreProtocol installations.Apollo Xpander Diversity Loop Interface Unit - XPA-IN-14050-APOThe XPander Diversity Loop Interface Unit can monitor up to 31 XPander devices and report each devices status to an intelligent fire control panel.Brand InformationXPander incorporates entirely new designs with respect to the wireless communication system. A Radio Interface is connected to the loop. It communicates with the control panel using the Apollo addressable two-wire power and communications system. The interface communicates with the detection and alarm signalling devices by means of radio waves. The detectors are multistate in that they report normal pre-alarm fire or fault states to the radio base which transmits the information to the interface. The detectors incorporate drift compensation and report any compensation limit occurring. The radio bases and signalling devices are addressable and use a pre-set analogue value to report via the XP95 or Discovery protocol. Apart from normal and fire the bases can send pre-set analogue values to indicate low battery detector contaminated detector tamper and low signal strength fault conditions.Key FeaturesConnects up to 31 XPander devices to an ApolloAddressable loopTranslates radio signals from XPander detectors to the fire control panelBuilt-in loop isolatorLoop-poweredDiversity aerial design for improved signal integrityThe entire XPander product line has a temporary four-month supply disruption starting from November 2021 with supply expecting to resume in February 2022.

Apollo Discovery Multisensor Detector 58000-700APO

Apollo Discovery Multisensor Detector 58000-700APO

Apollo Discovery Multisensor Detector 58000-700APOThe Discovery Multisensor Detector consists of optical smoke and thermistor temperature sensors which give both a combined signal as well as a separate heat signal for improved false alarm management. The Discovery Multisensor construction is similar to that of the optical detector but uses a different lid and optical mouldings to accommodate the thermistor heat sensor. The Discovery OpticalHeat Multisensor Detector contains an optical smoke sensor and a thermistor temperature sensor whose outputs are combined to give the final analogue value. The way in which the signals from the two sensors are combined depends on the response mode selected. The five modes provide response behaviour which incorporates pure heat detection pure smoke detection and a combination of both. The multisensor is therefore useful over the widest range of applications. The signals from the optical smoke sensing element and the temperature sensor are independent and represent the smoke level and the air temperature respectively in the vicinity of the detector. The detectors micro-controller processes the two signals according to the mode selected. When the detector is operating as a multisensor i.e. modes 1 3 and 4 the temperature signal processing extracts only rate-of-rise information for combination with the optical signal. In these modes the detector will not respond to a slow temperature increase even if the temperature reaches a high level. A large sudden change in temperature can however cause an alarm without the presence of smoke if sustained for 20 seconds.Response ModesMode 1 has very high smoke sensitivity combined with high heat sensitivity. This gives a high overall sensitivity to both smouldering and flaming fires.Mode 2 has a smoke sensitivity similar to that of a normal optical smoke detector. This mode is therefore equivalent to a standard optical detector. It is suitable for applications in which wide temperature changes occur under normal conditions.Mode 3 has moderate smoke sensitivity combined with a moderate sensitivity to heat. This combination is considered the optimum for most general applications since it offers good response to both flaming and smouldering fires.Mode 4 has lower than normal smoke sensitivity combined with high heat sensitivity. This makes it suitable for applications in which a certain amount of fumes or smoke is considered normal.Mode 5 has no smoke sensitivity at all but gives a pure heat detector response meeting the response time requirements for a Class A1R detector in the European Standard EN 54- 5. In this mode the detector will respond to slowly changing temperatures and has a fixed temperature alarm threshold at 58OC. The analogue value in this mode will give the approximate air temperature over the range 15OC to 55C. In Mode 5 the smoke sensor is still active though it does not contribute to the analogue signal. As a consequence if the detector is used in a dirty or smoky environment the optical sensor drift flag may be activated in the heat only mode.Key FeaturesIdeal for a wide range of applicationsEnhanced false alarm managementRecommended in specific modes for hotel bedrooms and hospital wardsUnaffected by wind or atmospheric pressureWell-suited to sensitive environmentsFive EN 54 approved response modesHeat only and optical only optionsRemote test feature

Apollo Series 65 Diode Base 45681-201The Series 65 Diode Base is designed for use with conventional systems that have manual call points and detector bases on the same circuit. The base is fitted with a schottky diode on the L1 IN and L1 OUT wiring terminals. This base can only be used with compatible control equipment.OperationAll detectors in the Series 65 range fit into Series 60 standard mounting bases. The bases are of 100mm diameter and have five terminals marked according to their function Line 1 in line 1 out line 2 in and out remote indicator negative earth. Detectors are polarity insensitive so that identification of positive and negative lines is only required if a remote LED is fitted. An earth connection is not required for either safety or correct operation of detectors. The earth terminal is provided for tidy termination of earthed conductors or cable screens and to maintain earth continuity where necessary. Bases have a wide interior diameter for ease of access to cables and terminals and there are two slots for fixing screws at a spacing of 51 to 69mm. Apollo AlarmSense Open Area Sounder 55000-018APO

Apollo AlarmSense Open Area Sounder 55000-018APO

Apollo AlarmSense Open Area Sounder 55000-018APOThe AlarmSense open area sounder has an IP65 rating meaning that it is suitable for outdoor use. In the event of unauthorised sounder head removal the unit generates a fault warning but all other devices on the same zone will continue to operate.Brand InformationAlarmSense is a range of conventional fire detection and alarm products designed to be connected to the same pair of supply wires making installation quicker and less expensive.AlarmSense has been developed to make the design and installation of a fire detection and alarm system easier and more economic for small to medium-sized buildings. The range also allows an existing system to be extended or modified if necessary. This flexibility makes AlarmSense an excellent choice for use in HMOs House in Multiple Occupation. As you would expect from Apollo AlarmSense incorporates features that help reduce false alarms and patented technology to ensure the integrity of a system. The range also includes products such as beacons to help meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act DDA.Brand FeaturesAlarmSense sounders and manual call points are fitted to the same zone as detectors. In quiescent state the zone is powered at between 9V and 15V nominally 12V at which only detectors and call points operate. Sounders require 24V to operate. When an alarm is detected on a zone the control panel increases the line voltage to 24V on that zone causing the sounders to produce a continuous Evacuate sound. Any voltage-sensitive output devices - relay modules or other alarm devices - also operate. When the voltage is increased to 24V the detector alarm current will reduce to 1.5mA. The detectors are latched in alarm until they are reset by reducing the voltage to less than 2V for greater than 1 second. Output devices will de-activate each time the voltage is reduced to 12V unless otherwise stated in their specification. It is possible to generate an Alert tone by pulsing the supply voltage from 12V to 24V and the sounders configured to continuous output. Pulse frequency of 1 second on 1 second off is recommended for compliance with BS5839 Pt1.Key Features Sound output of up to 99dBLPCB approvedSeparate first-fix base for ease of installationIP65 rated outdoor useDesigned for use as part of an AlarmSense fire alarm panel systemWall mountedTone synchronisationMonitors the presence of the sounder head
