However, he is not alone - he is accompanied by the so-called Spartan Rangers. They all try to get to the far east. We meet Artyom in the Urals, near the Volga River. He jumps on the locomotive Aurora, which has the task of going to the east. There he hopes to start a new and better life together with his wife Anna. The entire plot closes in one year, and the gameplay revolves around the four seasons. The beginning takes place in the Moscow metro, during the winter.   Monsters in Metro The game's post-nuclear world is home to several types of strange creatures. All of them are terrifying and look like they are taken straight out of horror movies. During your journey through the former Russian territory, as Artyom, you can meet grotesque, fascinating mutants such as guardians, humanimals and shrimps. There is also one demon. Guardians are hunters who come in packs. They are most dangerous in groups, a lone mutant is a piece of cake for a Spartan. Humanimal loves the night. He looks like a human, but he is definitely not one. He loves dark places and abandoned buildings. His behavior may resemble that of monkeys, they attack as soon as they see you. The shrimps look like, yes, you guessed it, normal shrimps. This form of water mutant likes to attack from a long distance. The demon is a huge beast, the most deadly in this world. It hunts alone and poses a great threat to Spartans. It is better to avoid him at all costs. Metro 2033 was released in 2010 as an adaptation of the book by Dmitry Głuchowski of the same title and the debut of the Ukrainian studio 4A Games. Metro: Last Light was released three years later and continued the story of its predecessor. Both productions have been refreshed for the eighth generation consoles. The action of the Metro series takes place in the world after a nuclear disaster that wiped out humanity from the face of the Earth. Only those who managed to hide in underground shelters, as well as in the tunnels of the Moscow metro, survived. The main character of the series is young Artem, who lives in one of the small settlements. Although the inhabitants have plenty of water and food, they have to face the attacks of mutant monsters. Recently, the attacks of these beasts have intensified, significantly thinning the ranks of the defenders. When Artyom's father's friend does not return from another trip, the young man sets out to warn other subway residents and find a way to save his home. We get to know the story of his travels in Metro 2033. Both productions included in Metro Redux are first-person action games in which shooting is intertwined with stealth. Most of the time, we walk the corridors of the Moscow metro, occasionally interrupted by slightly more open locations. The fun usually comes down to dealing with enemies, be they humans or mutated beasts. However, the whole thing has been sprinkled with elements of survival horror: the levels often build the mood of horror, and resources and ammunition are very rare. Artyom is also not immortal and the charge against groups of armed wicked or more powerful beasts will most likely end in his death. Fortunately, the game often allows you to sneak behind enemies' backs and silently eliminate human opponents. As a result, some levels can be completed in several different ways. Compared to the original releases, the creators have significantly modified both productions. Multiple levels have been combined or enlarged, resulting in wider and more open locations. Shooting has also been improved and a handful of trinkets like reloading. Major changes affected Metro 2033. The title was completely rebuilt on the Metro: Last Light engine, thanks to which both productions operate on the basis of identical gameplay mechanisms. Project Temporality is the first game by the independent studio Defrost Games, founded in 2010 by a former employee of Massive Entertainment. The source of inspiration for developers was the Portal series and logical games emphasizing the possibility of manipulating time and space. Story Action Project temporality takes place in the future. According to the theory of the British astrophysicist Martyn J. Fogg, humanity manages to "set fire" to Jupiter and transform the orbiting moons into habitable planets. Importantly, unlike Earth, most of them have the ability to manipulate time. Gameplay The main character of the game is a tester carrying the number 87. Its task is to test the possibilities of time travel technology on one of the distant military bases in the Jupiter system. In the course of the game, the player discovers not only the ways of using the futuristic brain implant TP-205, but also threads related to the character's story. The gameplay focuses on manipulating time and coordinating actions. The player has a lot of freedom in scrolling time (backward, forward, accelerating or slowing down), and can create momentary, parallel branches of the course of events and clones of his own character assigned to them. In many cases, this is the only way to complete the quest (e.g. place a clone in a field that opens a door or activates some mechanism so that the main character can move on). Key features 4D Gameplay - The fourth dimension Time is as accessible to you as the other three since at any time you can rewind to any earlier point in time, to find that perfect moment for you. No more frustrating replays performing the same sequence over and over again. Just rewind and fix.  Single Player Cooperation - This is the key part of the game. You can exist in many parallel timelines using time clones. It means that every time you need a friend's help in the game, you can be that friend. You can spawn a new time clone at any position and time in the game, and once you create a new one it’s there forever.  Multiple true timelines - Time clones will continue to perform the actions you recorded. They are, however, still a part of the game world, and if you change the game world the end result will also change.  Temporality fielded objects - A temporality fielded object is an object that won’t be affected by your time manipulations, because it is inside a field that cancels out all timelines except the original one.  The Paradox Effect - Combining the true timelines with the temporality fielding allows us to create paradox based puzzles where one single timelines performs multiple different actions depending from where in time it is viewed. Mathematically every temporality fielded object increases the number of dimensions with one which is what allows the paradox effect.

Ultimately, the more pessimistic of the finals was chosen.Metro: Last Light is an action game with a first-person perspective. Most of the time, our task is to break through the linear levels and shoot enemies. At the same time, the fun is diversified by stealth sections, in which the best tactic is to eliminate enemies silently. In addition, the creators drew inspiration from the survival horror genre. This means that we often run out of ammo, and quite a few levels are designed to scare players.Compared to the first part, more large locations have appeared where it is possible to use different tactics and choose several paths to the goal. Compilation sequences, the artificial intelligence of opponents and the dynamics of clashes have also been improved. The arsenal of available weapons has also been expanded. It is worth adding that the exciting clashes, however, do not dominate the survival horror sequences known from the previous Metro. The proportions between the two styles remained the same as in the first part.

Each of the places visited belongs to a specific deity with whom the clash awaits us at the end. Before we can face the mighty cruelty, we must first eliminate the hosts of monsters and deal with numerous traps and obstacles that guard access to his lair. The combat system is dexterity, and after killing a certain number of enemies, the hero we control can go into a combat frenzy, which temporarily increases his strength, speed and resistance to damage. In Painkiller: Resurrection, we play the role of Wild Bill Sherman, an assassin acting on behalf of the CIA and high-ranking government officials. It is the latter who entrust Dziki Bill with a lucrative task that quickly becomes complicated and gets out of control of the protagonist. It might seem that the banal liquidation of Bill's political rival would be the proverbial milk porridge. And so it was - at least until a school bus full of kids pulled up near the service vehicle belonging to Sherman's target. A bomb connected to the ignition switch exploded when the key was turned.
