Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT
The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT is a dynamic extension brace for patients with Dupuytren’s contracture.
Please note, as the Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT will need to be prescribed and fitted by a medical professional, please contact us for more information as to where you can access this hand brace to treat Dupuytren’s contracture.
The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT functions as a dynamic extension device specifically engineered for Dupuytren's contracture management. Its proprietary design delivers precise extension forces to affected digits through an advanced leaf spring mechanism that gently stretches contracted cords. Regular application for prescribed intervals maintains consistent extension pressure, potentially reducing contracture angles or halting progression.
The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT serves effectively as primary conservative intervention or as an adjunctive therapy component, with applications in both preoperative and postoperative protocols. Usage duration and frequency are calibrated according to condition severity to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Treatment goal:
Contracture reduction as primary therapy
Complementing other treatments by reducing (residual) contractures
Helping to slow the progression of an early or existing contracture
Contributing to the maintenance of results after contracture treatment
Remain comfortable and move freely during therapy
Prescribing a treatment plan means patients can have treatment in their own environment, while still being able to perform activities of normal daily living. Following an initial settling-in period, the extension force applied by the orthosis can be adjusted to suit. For the remaining treatment, a balance is struck between duration of wearing sessions, and patient comfort.
