Push Braces Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace Junior / paediatric ankle support

Push Braces Ankle Foot Orthosis - Push Ortho AFO - Right

Push Braces Ankle Foot Orthosis - Push Ortho AFO - Right

Revolutionary Ankle foot orthosis (AFO) for dropped foot treatment Allows for natural gait and makes safe and efficient walking possible again Controls plantar flexion after heel strike and allows impeded rolling of the foot Offers lateral stability to the ankle joint Adjustable elastic straps Degree of dynamic foot lift can be determined according to individual needs. For a replacement tab for the front of your Push AFO, please click here The Push Braces Ortho AFO Ankle Foot Orthosis offers excellent support in the case of loss of ability to lift the foot and problems in controlling the foot when walking. The brace was designed to allow for a natural gait and makes safe and efficient walking possible again, one of a range of excellent ankle braces in the Push Braces range. The Push AFO lifts the foot during the swing phase, controls the plantar flexion post heel strike and then allows unimpeded rolling of the foot. Also, the orthosis offers lateral stability to the ankle joint. The brace provides adjustable elastic straps which allows the degree of dynamic foot lift during the swing phase to be determined based on the individual needs of the user. On heel strike, the limiting function of the elastic straps ensures a well-controlled plantar flexion. During the stance phase, the brace allows flexion and extension in the ankle joint and allows the (remaining) function of the calf muscles to be focused on during the rolling of the foot. The outcome is an efficient and natural gait. Where normally the shoe allows for fixation of the orthosis around the foot, the Push Braces Ortho AFO Ankle Foot Orthosis has its own fixing strap system. The unique design allows the brace to be worn with light footwear such as indoors in slippers. When to use - Loss of control of the ankle dorsiflexors during swing phase and during loading response (heel strike/foot flat), possibly with ankle instability Disorders possibly involving loss of the function of the ankle dorsiflexors are: CVA, hernia, multiple sclerosis, postpolio syndrome, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, polyneuropathy The Push ortho Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) - How it works SIZE CHART (IN CMS) See under pricing section. WASHING INSTRUCTIONS Before washing, close the hook and loop fasteners to protect the brace and other laundry. The brace can be washed at temperatures up to 30 oC, on a delicate fabrics cycle or by hand. Do not use any bleaching agents. A gentle spin-dry cycle can be used: after this, hang the brace up to dry in the open air (not near a heating source or in a tumble drier). To extend the brace's service life, it should be dried after use, if necessary, before being stored. IMPORTANT The efficient use of Push AFO depends on the correct diagnosis. Always check first with a specialist before using a orthosis. Push braces were designed to be worn on an undamaged skin. Damaged skin must first be covered with suitable material. In the case of poor blood circulation in the limbs, an orthosis may cause hyperaemia. Avoid applying the orthosis too tightly in the beginning. Optimal functioning can only be achieved by selecting the right size. Therefore, fit your orthosis before purchasing, to check its size. Your reseller‚Äôs professional staff will explain the best way to fit your orthosis. We recommend that you keep this product information in a safe place, to be able to consult it for fitting instructions whenever needed. Check your Push orthosis each time before using for signs of wear or ageing of parts or seams. Optimal performance of your Push orthosis can only be guaranteed if the product is fully intact. To promote the useful life of the orthosis, it should not be exposed to temperatures above 70 oC. The use of a rigid orthosis within a shoe may cause accelerated wear of the inside of the shoe. To make it easier to get into the shoe, the Push AFO has a smooth surface, also at the sole of the foot. To prevent slipping, the orthosis should be worn inside a shoe/shower sandal/slipper. The Push AFO should be worn over a sock and inside a shoe/shower sandal/slipper If you wear an insole that has been placed within the Push AFO, please make sure that the shape and size of the bottom of the insole closely match the shape of the Push AFO. The Push AFO is suitable for intensive use, such as sports involving sharp turns, crouching/kneeling and jumping. Please note, however, that intensive stress may reduce the product's lifespan. When putting on your shoes, it is advisable that you use a shoehorn to avoid hurting your fingers. Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT

Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT

The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT is a dynamic extension brace for patients with Dupuytren’s contracture. Please note, as the Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT will need to be prescribed and fitted by a medical professional, please contact us for more information as to where you can access this hand brace to treat Dupuytren’s contracture.   The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT functions as a dynamic extension device specifically engineered for Dupuytren's contracture management. Its proprietary design delivers precise extension forces to affected digits through an advanced leaf spring mechanism that gently stretches contracted cords. Regular application for prescribed intervals maintains consistent extension pressure, potentially reducing contracture angles or halting progression. The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT serves effectively as primary conservative intervention or as an adjunctive therapy component, with applications in both preoperative and postoperative protocols. Usage duration and frequency are calibrated according to condition severity to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Treatment goal: Contracture reduction as primary therapy Complementing other treatments by reducing (residual) contractures Helping to slow the progression of an early or existing contracture Contributing to the maintenance of results after contracture treatment Remain comfortable and move freely during therapy Prescribing a treatment plan means patients can have treatment in their own environment, while still being able to perform activities of normal daily living. Following an initial settling-in period, the extension force applied by the orthosis can be adjusted to suit. For the remaining treatment, a balance is struck between duration of wearing sessions, and patient comfort. Indications for the Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT brace Morbus Dupuytren in the fingers (not the thumb) in the following stages: Tubiana stage 1 and 2 Tubiana stage N for active strands The orthosis can be used in the following situations after assessment by a doctor: To reduce a contracture as primary therapy To reduce a (residual) contracture to support another treatment To slow the progression of an incipient or existing contracture To maintain the results of treatment of a contracture Contra-Indications for the Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT brace Do not use the orthosis, or discontinue use of the orthosis, in the following situations: Pain such that the orthosis cannot be worn for more than 1.5 hours, even on the lightest setting.
