With this elastic band, you'll make a little statement with your DIY project. DIY with elasticated cordYou can choose from several great colours to get the look you want. Quite frankly, it’s a really good basic elastic band for many purposes. A standard narrow elastic bandYou can use this elastic for all sorts of projects. Use it as a panty lace, for the neckline of a dress or top, and as a sleeve edge for beautiful balloon sleeves. It's also your go-to elastic when you need an elastic for festive masks for Shrove Tuesday and Halloween. We prefer to use the elastic so that it is hidden in a drawstring. The elastic is soft and durable, and can be washed at 60° and tumble-dried at low heat.

Choose the colour that suits your project – should it match, provide a slight or strong contrast?     The bias binding is 30 mm wide, made from 100% cotton, and comes in a pack of 5 metres.     Worth Knowing About Bias Binding  Bias binding has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. It is – as the name suggests – cut on the bias and therefore naturally follows your curves, neckline cuts, corners, and edges. This results in a beautiful finish.     How to Sew On Bias Binding  Bias binding is for sewing onto curves, corners, and straight stretches. When sewing the bias binding onto your project, you stitch in straight lines with a stitch length of about 2.5 cm. While sewing, ensure you don't pull or stretch it. Let it align naturally along the edge for a neat finish.     TIP  When starting to sew your bias binding, fold in about 2 cm to create a double layer. Upon finishing, tuck the other end's fold over your folded start. The same principle applies when extending a bias binding.
