Det kan bl.a. spores i ”det nye maleri”, der er vokset frem i de senere år.I Egill Jacobsen 3 giver Per Hovdenakk et rids over Egill Jacobsens liv. Bogen er en værkfortegnelse over Egill Jacobsens malerier fra 1980-1998. Disse malerier er primært solgt til private samlere. Egill Jacobsen udstillede ikke meget i den periode, og disse malerier er derfor ukendte for det store publikum. A critical examination of how contemporary criminal justice reforms expand rather than shrink structurally violent systems of policing, surveillance, and carceral control in the United States. Public opposition to the structural racist, gendered, and economic violence that fuels the criminal legal system is reaching a critical mass. Ignited by popular uprisings, protests, and campaigns against state violence, demands for transformational change have escalated. In response, a now deeply entrenched so-called bipartisan industry has staked its claim to the reform terrain. Representing itself as a sensible bridge across bitterly polarized political divides and party lines, the bipartisan reform industry has sought to control the nature and scope of local, state, and federal reforms. Along the way, it creates an expanding web of neoliberal public-private partnerships, with the promotion and implementation of efforts managed by billionaires, public officials, policy factories, foundations, universities, and mega nonprofit organizations. Yet many bipartisan reforms constitute deceptive sleights of hand that not only fail to produce justice but actively reproduce structural racial and economic inequality. Carceral Con pulls the veil away from the reform public relations machine, providing a riveting overview of the repressive US carceral state and a critical examination of the reform terrain, quagmires, and choices that face us. This book vividly illustrates how contemporary bipartisan reform agendas leave the structural apparatus of mass incarceration intact while widening the net of carceral control and surveillance. Don Byas (1913–1972) may be lesser known than the counterparts he played with—Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Dizzy Gillespie, among others—but he was an enigma. He never stayed with a band for long, and eventually went solo partly to make more money and partly due to his inability to work with bandleaders. Often drinking to excess, alcohol fueled his sometimes-erratic behavior on and off the bandstand. He went through at least thirteen different groups in fifteen years of professional play before leaving for Europe in 1946. Despite his fractious personality, in Europe he found peace and contentment as a family man in the Netherlands, where he lived out his days with his second wife and their four children. He learned at least seven languages during his years in Europe, and on traveling to a new country could pick up a few phrases in short order, soon speaking to the locals and even composing songs in their native tongue. In Sax Expat: Don Byas, author Con Chapman argues that Byas’s relative obscurity arises from his choice to live in Europe, where he missed out on recording opportunities and exposure in the US that would have made him renowned and wealthier. His numerous achievements, including his solo on Count Basie’s "Harvard Blues," which is a model of restrained invention; his interpretation of the sentimental movie theme "Laura"; and his duets with bassist Slam Stewart were included in the Smithsonian Collection of Classic Jazz and secured Byas’s place in jazz history. This biography brings to life an amazing jazz story.

Loyalitet i turbulente tider er en omfattende analyse af arbejdet med kundeloyalitet i 2023 gennemført i samarbejde med CBS. Siden vi gennemførte vores første store undersøgelse om loyalitet i 2015 (CBS) og frem til primo 2023, er det sket meget. Kunderne har ændret adfærd, og nogle taler lige frem om de ustyrlige kunder i forhold til adfærd og holdninger. Hertil kommer så de skiftende kriser. Loyalitet virker men kun, hvis der er balance i forholdet mellem udbyder og forbruger. Vi har på en række områder sammenlignet resultaterne fra 2015, men har også tilført denne analyse en række nye elementer, fx en analyse af forbrugernes fire mindset ift. de 18 klubber, som er med i analysen, samt, gennem anvendelse af AI-værktøjer, arbejdet med holdningsbaserede observationer, med fokus på bæredygtighed. Der synes at være et behov fra kundernes side om at udvikle og innovere de eksisterende klubber i forhold til indhold, funktionalitet og gensidig værdiskabelse. For loyalitet skal gå begge veje. Man kan ikke forvente loyale kunder, hvis man som organisation ikke selv er loyal overfor kunderne! For at kunne fokusere på de rigtige værdibaserede initiativer kræver det kun relevante digitale teknologier til at indsamle data, men i særdeleshed det rigtige mindset ift. brugen og delingen af disse data på tværs af organisationen. Tænker virksomheden stadig i kampagner? Eller arbejdes der med dynamiske processer baseret på kundernes adfærd? Mange synes at have taget den analoge ”tilbudsavistankegang” og ført den over på digitale og mobile platforme. Det er ikke nødvendigvis den tilgang der udnytter de digitale teknologier bedst til at skabe et øget engagement med kunden. Samlet set starter denne fornyelse med at se på dit mindset som leder eller medarbejder samt virksomhedens mindset og sætte dette i relief til jeres kunders mindset. Baseret på vores omfattende analyser af kundernes mindset og loyalitet ifht en række større loyalitetsklubber har vi, efter bedste evne, udformet en håndbog til hvordan organisationer kan styrke deres arbejde med loyalitetsklubber. An examination of the efforts of faith-based organizations to expand the rights of the formerly incarcerated The use of religion to rehabilitate and redeem formerly incarcerated individuals has been a cultural touchstone of the modern era. Yet religious outreach to those with criminal records has typically been associated with an emphasis on private spirituality, with efforts focused on repentance, conversion, and restorative justice. This book sheds light on how faith-based organizations utilize the public arena, mobilizing to expand the social and political rights of former inmates. In “Jesus Saved an Ex-Con,” Edward Orozco Flores profiles Community Renewal Society and LA Voice, two faith-based organizations which have actively waged community organizing campaigns to expand the rights of people with records. He illuminates how these groups help the formerly incarcerated re-enter broader communities through the expansion of citizenship rights and participation in civic engagement. Most work on prisoner reentry has focused on how the behavior of those with records may be changed through interventions, rather than considering how those with records may change the society that receives them. Flores explores how the formerly incarcerated use redemption scripts to participate in civic engagement, to remove the felony conviction question from employment applications and to restrict the use of criminal background checks in housing and employment. He shows that people with records can redeem themselves while also challenging and changing the way society receives them.
