At the same time, this has not been achieved by simplifying the gameplay mechanics. All options and functions are still available. Now it's just easier to use them. For the first time in the history of the series, there are also underwater missions. The visual side of ArmA III is the responsibility of the fourth generation of the Bohemia graphics engine. with PhysX technology. This allowed to significantly improve the simulation nature of the game, while providing better quality animations. Moreover, the new technology made it possible to introduce large-scale maps. The areas available to players exceed 320 square kilometers. The surroundings in the game were reproduced on the basis of the authentic appearance of one of the islands in the Mediterranean Sea with great attention to geographical details. The developers also took care of modding tools. Based on an intuitively easy-to-use editor, players can create their own missions and scenarios.
