In the 1980s, high school kids would fold down the top of the boots and write discreet love notes and catchy comments on the exposed boot lining. Vikings Kadett boot would come to play a small but noteworthy role in many teenage romances throughout the 80s. Today, Kadetts lining is created from a quick-drying polyester and has canvas throughout the vamp of the boot.
