Design: Joaquim Ruiz Millet Konzept: Tischleuchte Pedrera ABC ist entworfen bei Joaquim Ruiz Millet in 1994. Die Leuchte ist hergestellt in perforiertem Metall mit weißem Innenschirm von Kunststoff. Zusätzlich ist die Leitung in schwarzen Textil auf Lampen in Schwarz und Nickel, für die übrige Farben ist die Leitung Weiß in Textil. Die elegante Tischleuchte ist erhältlich in vier Farben, also passt es zu jedem Raum
GUBI ABC Table Lamp (Black Semi Matt)
The ABC Table Lamp is designed by Joaquim Ruiz Millet as a tribute to Barba Corsini and his original PD2 Floor Lamp, created specifically for the famous landmark La Pedrera in 1955. As the designs for La Pedrera, the ABC lamp is inspired by Corsini's powerful yet simple design style and his inspiration from the buildings sculptural structures. Millet has created a smaller version of the original lamp design with understated elegance and meticulous craftsmanship, which brings about new opportunities and applications to the use of the lamp - while maintaining the expression of legendary Barba Corsini. Barba Corsini was in 1955 assigned to remodel the attics of the prominent Antoni Gaudí landmark La Pedrera. Used as a laundry room and a storage area, Corsini transformed the space into 13 modern apartments. To complete the architectural experience, Corsini specifically designed and decorated the apartments with his own designs, inspired by the characteristic appearance of the building. In 1991, it was decided that the loft space of La Pedrera should be restored according to the original conception of Gaudí. The interior made by Corsini was torn down and most of it thrown away. During the renovation, the architect and gallerist, Joaquim Ruiz Millet, discovered the PD2 Floor Lamp and saved it from being thrown in the trash. Ruiz Millet started to collaborate with Corsini and his designs, and recreated the original pieces, specifically in order to support rescuing his work, make it more known and available for the public.
